Tales from the North Pole

- The Day Santa Got Sick -
What would happen if Santa got sick Christmas Eve?
Who would drive the sleigh and deliver all the toys to the world’s girls and boys?
Both lyrical and magical, this illustrated Children’s Book tells the reader how— back in 1804—Mrs. Claus reached out to all their friends at the North Pole when Santa needed help. They became heroes and were the original founders of “The Santa Claus Crew”.
This charming and delightful, rhyming story illuminates why we see so many different Santa’s during the holiday season. Is there a secret? Young inquisitive minds want to know.

- The Day Santa Lost His List -
Santa Claus loses his most important Christmas Eve document, the naughty and nice list, causing panic among the elves at the North Pole. Holly Sparkle, a smart little elf, narrates the story of how the naughty and nice list, the wish list, as well as all the letters to Santa, go missing.
Holly hires a famous elf-detective just days before Christmas to unravel the mystery with great success. Holly Sparkle—confined to a wheelchair—is an amazing example of fortitude and ability rather than disability. Filled with visual clues, this is a child’s first playful, mystery ‘who-dunnit’ book with a Christmas theme.

About Darrell Clement

My love for writing spans poetry, screenwriting, songwriting and stories.
I was selected as a finalist in the Storypros 2020 International Screenplay Competition for my work, “The Midden,” and more recently, a Quarterfinalist with “The Warden of White Otter Castle” in the Emerging Screenwriters 2021 Genre Screenplay Competition.
When not working on behalf of the North Pole, I live in Okotoks, Alberta.
Shared delight:
Engaging, charming, and masterfully written tapping into a wonder so familiar but for some of us, has been tucked away in time and places not easily liberated. Darrell found it, engaged it and expanded his readership from 3 - 10 year olds to include a couple of seniors who happened to land a private reading.
Just received this wonderful story. My children and grandchildren will love this.
